Corner-to-corner crochet grows in diagonal tiles rather than traditional horizontal rows. Measuring several tiles together gives a more stable average tile size and helps estimate the number of tiles required for a planned width and height.

Before making the full blanket

Wash or block the swatch if you plan to treat the finished blanket the same way. Keep yarn, hook and tension consistent. For a graphgan, use the calculated tile counts as a planning guide and then build your chart to the final grid.
