Crochet Blanket Size & Stitch Calculator
Choose a standard blanket size or enter your own measurements, then add your gauge to estimate starting stitches and rows.
How to use the blanket calculator
Measure your blocked gauge swatch over 10 cm, not just one or two stitches. Enter the finished width and length you want. The calculator converts your gauge into an approximate foundation stitch count and row count. Always check the stitch multiple in your chosen pattern and round to the nearest valid repeat.
Popular crochet blanket sizes
Baby, lap, throw, twin, full, queen and king are useful planning labels, but handmade blanket dimensions are flexible. Mattress depth, border width, drape and personal preference can change the final measurements.
Before you start
Make and block a swatch in the same yarn and stitch pattern. Recheck your measurements after the first 10–15 cm of the blanket because large projects magnify small gauge differences.
