If one full skein weighs a known amount and contains a known length, you can estimate the total yarn in a project from the project weight. This is useful when reverse-engineering your own sample, comparing two blanket sizes, or writing material notes after finishing.

Wichtige Einschränkung

The calculation assumes the entire project uses the same yarn. If you used several yarns with different meters-per-gram ratios, weigh or estimate those sections separately.
